Chavistas from Wilson Middle School and Crawford High School recently pitched in to support a local clean-up and the inaugural football game at the new Crawford High School Stadium.
Two 6th grade Chavistas from Horace Mann Middle participated in a cleanup with I Love a Clean San Diego, themed "Trash or Treat." Their mission was not only to pick up trash around the neighborhood but to compete for prizes awarded to those who picked up the most cigarette butts. Our group of 3 picked up a total of 916 cigarette butts, which landed us among the top winners. The Chavistas were awarded prizes for their efforts.

Wilson Middle Chavistas also recently volunteered for cleanup done in City Heights on October 14th, near Wilson Middle School.
The Crawford High School Cesar Chavez Service Club set up a club booth at the first game ever held at the new Crawford High Stadium. They prepared and sold tostilocos to fellow students and the fans at the game.
Club Manager Kait Cordua was amazed by the Chavistas hard work on this event. Here are a few photos.
