Chavez Clubs Activities - Fall 2016
This fall, our Cesar Chavez Clubs have been active in the community and learning about how their actions can make a difference.
This amazing photo of our Chavistas Makayla and Auma at the 3rd Annual Celebration Under the Dome Gala event, at the downtown Central Library. They volunteered with fellow Chavistas at the event and helped to cheer on auction bidders.
Here are our Horace Mann Chavistas at a Canyon Cleanup Day in City Heights. They were helping to remove invasive plants. (47th & Thorne Street)
The Point Loma High School Chavistas volunteered on Saturday, October 8th to help with the 2nd Annual Break Free Run. This run is a fundraising & awareness effort to end human trafficking. The Chavistas helped get people checked in, hand out water to runners, cheer them on and set up & break down the event.
And here are our Edison Elementary students decorating skulls and learning about Dia de Los Muertos, Day of the Dead.
